Our culinary grade Matcha is of Japanese origin, specifically from the prefectures of Kagoshima and Shizuoka, leaders in the production of green tea.
Matcha is a green tea that undergoes several different processes during its cultivation. The bushes are kept under shade before harvest, which allows their chlorophyll and antioxidant levels to increase.
The leaves used for this matcha were harvested in autumn; plants of different cultivars were used in its preparation to obtain a unique flavour composition.
Its light green color gives an idea of its quality; its sweet and bitter notes provide a perfect balance.
Preparation:
1/2 teaspoon of matcha in 6 ounces of hot water (75 to 80 degrees C)
Mix until completely dissolved and forms a foam on top of the drink.
