Near the city of Darjeeling is the tea estate, Happy Valley. This tea garden has an area of about 111 hectares, where the best teas in India are harvested.
This Darjeeling is a “second flush” black tea. When we say that the tea is “second flush”, we are referring to a second-flowering tea. It is harvested in the months of May and June; during this season the weather is warmer and it rains more. It is a fully oxidized tea; when served in the cup, its color is woody and it has a muscatel flavor, slightly fruity with soft toasted notes.
It is highly aromatic and its beautiful color creates a bright cup.
Plus, it's organically grown!
